On the GT-R, when the temperature rises above 140°C, the failsafe engages and the throttle remains closed. With this kit, you'll be able to exploit the transmission's capabilities for longer while improving its reliability.GReddy has developed an air-cooled oil cooler core that sits inside the left front fender and works in conjunction with the standard water-cooled heat exchanger. Together they keep the GR6 gearbox oil at the optimum temperature, even during low temperature starts, for extended performance on the road and track.The 13-row cooler is housed behind a GT-R model-specific fibre duct, compartmentalised like the stock one, for optimum fresh air supply. Made from anodised aluminium, the supplied oil block with built-in thermostat helps to stabilise oil temperature and provide better oil control by isolating the line of the genuine heat exchanger and the line of the DCT cooler core.Easy to install, 14mm diameter aluminium pipes are used to connect the oil block to the DCT cooler. The shortened piping route optimises flow and reduces the loss of oil pressure from the DCT pump.
