Denstoj Rocker Retainers are here to fix that. We've now adapted our proven retainer clip system to suit the legendary Nissan SR20DE and SR20DET platforms. These clips lock onto OEM rocker arms, paired with custom-machined HLAs (Hydraulic Lash Adjusters) that accept the clip. The result? Rockers stay put – giving you confidence on limiter, at the track, or during a misfire event. Includes 8x OEM-style hydraulic lash adjusters with our proven retainer groove 8x Drop-in rocker retainer clips that fit over the existing rocker arm Fitment: We recommend running guide shims on both sides of the rocker arm to reduce lateral movement. Important: Hydraulic lash adjusters (HLAs) must be checked for plunger movement before installation. If the plunger does not compress when squeezed firmly between your fingers, the lifter is likely pumped up with oil. To release the oil: Place the lifter in a soft-jawed vice or hold it securely in a rag. Use a small pick or paperclip to gently depress the internal check ball through the oil feed hole. While holding the check ball open, slowly compress the plunger using your fingers. You may see oil come out — this is normal. Repeat until the plunger can be easily compressed and springs back under light pressure.
