RacingLine’s Billet Underbody Rear Tunnel Brace for all MQB & MQB Evo cars replaces the weak factory centre brace with an intricately machined T-6061 aluminium replacement, greatly improving body stiffness and importantly giving much better exhaust clearance for aftermarket systems.

MQB & MQB Evo cars rely on thin stamped-steel OE tunnel braces underneath. Fitting RacingLine’s Billet Underbody Rear Tunnel Brace replaces the weak factory brace with this intricately machined T-6061 aluminium replacement. This not only improves body rigidity, but importantly it also gives much better exhaust clearance for anyone running a large diameter aftermarket system. With 3" diameter exhaust systems, the OE rear tunnel brace gives insufficient clearance. So rather than just removing the factory brace (as some people do), RacingLine’s Centre Tunnel Brace at last gives an option to replace it, giving the clearance needed plus maintaining that crucial body stiffness. Despite adding stiffness, this improved dynamic performance comes without sacrificing any ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The brace designs mean that installation is simple, using existing body mounting points with no drilling or trim removal required, ensuring fitment is completely reversible.
